The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations will hold a joint meeting with the Human Rights Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels on October 12, which will discuss, among other things, human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and on the uncontrolled Donbas, chairman of the parliament committee for human rights, national minorities and multicultural relations Hryhoriy Nemyria has said.

"There will be a joint meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Verkhovna Rada for the first time in history with the Human Rights Committee in Brussels, on October 12. Members of the committee are my friends, comrades and colleagues Refat Chubarov and Ukrainian President's Envoy for the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev [head and ex-head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people].One of the issues on the agenda of this meeting will be the violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea and Donbas," Nemyria said at a rally, which took place in Kyiv on Wednesday in support of the deputy head of the Mejlis Akhtem Chiygoz, who was condemned in Crimea.
