Three Ukrainian hostages released from captivity

Three more Ukrainian hostages have been freed from captivity, they will return home soon, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"Good news from the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak. Three more of our fellow citizens have been just released from captivity, they will return home soon. We are waiting for more good news in the next few days. Glory to Ukraine!" Poroshenko wrote on his page on Facebook on Friday.

Meanwhile, an Interfax ( interfax. ru) correspondent reported militants of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) swapped several captives with the Ukrainian side in the 3-by-6 format on the bridge in the area of the town of Schastia on Friday.

The exchange has been conducted in the presence of monitors of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (SMM OSCE), representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and journalists.

LPR representatives handed over three captives to the Ukrainian side, the Ukrainian side - six captives.
