Poroshenko gives week to resolve issues preventing adoption of laws on liberalization of EU visa regime– presidential administration
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has given a week for the internal coordination of all outstanding issues related to the introduction of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union to be carried out, deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Shymkiv has said.
"The president stressed that we have a week to find understanding for the adoption of the laws needed to speed up the process of Ukraine's getting a visa-free regime," Shymkiv said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday after a meeting of the National Reform Council.
He said that Poroshenko urged MPs to abandon their ambitions and take appropriate actions envisaged by the coalition agreement.
In this regard, Shymkiv recalled that more than 90% of the tasks related to the introduction of visa-free regime were provided for in the coalition agreement.
