The Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union (COREPER) on Wednesday will consider an extension of the black lists of individuals and legal entities, which will face EU restrictive measures amid the Ukrainian situation, a diplomatic source in the EU told Interfax in Brussels on Tuesday.

He said tomorrow the committee would get down to this issue, since the EU Foreign Affairs Council on January 29 charged it with extending lists by its next sitting on February 9.

The work is under way, the interlocutor said, adding that it too early to say whose names will be put onto the lists.

Besides, the diplomat has assumed that the COREPER even may fail to decide on sanctions on February 4, but, anyway, the committee will meet again and again until the lists are made up.
