24 injured protesters, 30 police officers seek medical aid after Sunday clashes in Kyiv

Twenty-four protesters injured during clashes with police on Yevropeiska Square and near the Dynamo stadium requested medical aid as of 08:00 p.m. on Sunday, and three of them were taken to hospital, Kyiv City Administration's health care department told Interfax-Ukraine.

Two hospitalized persons suffered multiple lacerations; the third person had a broken arm. The remaining 21 victims were examined and given necessary medical assistance without hospitalization.

Hospitals in Kyiv work in normal mode, the source said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's media liaison office reported on Sunday evening that over 30 police officers were injured during the stand-off between police and protesters on Yevropeiska Square and close to the Dynamo stadium. They had head injuries, various fractures, bruises and poisoning with unknown substances.

A dozen officers were taken to hospital, four of them are in a critical condition.
