China waiting for quick resolution of issues involving Motor Sich

China is waiting for the quick solving of the situation around public joint-stock company Motor Sich (Zaporizhia), taking into account the interests of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the aircraft building sphere.

Head of the interagency commission for defense cooperation at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yuriy Brovchenko told Interfax-Ukraine that the position of China was presented at a working meeting of Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv with Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Du Wei and a representative of China's g Skyrizon Aviation Industry Investment Co. Ltd, which participates in the investment program of cooperation with Motor Sich held on April 27.

"At the meeting, the parties voiced a full mutual understanding of the processes that are taking place today in China and Ukraine, including the situation around PJSC Motor Sich, and expressed mutual interest in the prompt settlement of the situation around Motor Sich, taking into account the bilateral interests of cooperation," he said, adding that the official representative of Chinese Skyrizon, who participated in the meeting, confirmed plans for the further participation of the Chinese company in the project of cooperation with Motor Sich.

"For its part, the Ukrainian side assured that Ukraine and the Ukrainian government will take the necessary measures to ensure the current stable operation of PJSC Motor Sich, as well as further development of the company, primarily in the interests of Ukraine's defense capability, and taking into account the interests of bilateral cooperation with the Chinese side in the field of aircraft building," he said.

"I think that in the near future the situation around Motor Sich will be solved, including taking into account the interests of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the aviation industry," Brovchenko said.
