Deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in 2016 totals $2.886 bln

The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in 2016 was estimated at $2.886 billion, whereas in 2015 the surplus was $610.7 million, the State Statistics Service has reported on Tuesday.
Last year exports fell by 4.6% or $1.764 billion, to $36.363 billion, while imports rose by 4.6% or $1.732 billion, reaching $39.249 billion.
The State Statistics Service said that Ukraine traded with partners from 226 countries and regions over the period under review.
As a result, the ratio of coverage of exports by imports was 0.93 (it was 1.02 in 2015).
