Poland's PESA could supply 10 trams to Kyiv city for EUR 11.5 mln

Kyivpastrans municipal enterprise has selected Pojazdy Szynowe PESA Bydgoszcz SA to supply 10 low-deck tram wagons to Kyiv city in 2016.
According to a report on the public procurement portal, the offer of PESA was accepted on April 11. Its cost is EUR 11.5 million (VAT not included).
Belarusian-Swiss CJSC Stadler Minsk that offered tram wagons for EUR 13.84 million also took part in the tender.
Ukrainian manufacturers did not participate in the tender.
Kyivpastrans announced a tender to buy 10 low-deck tram carriages on December 30, 2015. The bids were to be opened on February 12, 2016.
The approximate cost of the carriages is UAH 287 million.
Tatra-Pivden LLC on February 8, 2016 filed a claim to Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee against alleged discriminative terms of the tender.
Kyivpastrans amended the tender documents and planned to open the bids on March 1.
Tatra-Pivden LLC against filed a claim to the Antimonopoly Committee and the committee suspended the tender. On March 2, the claimant removed its claim and the tender was unblocked.
