Petrol sales at fuel stations in Ukraine in Dec 1.6% up, diesel fuel sales 12.9% up

Petrol sales at Ukrainian fuel filling stations in December 2013 increased by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2012, to 254,900 tonnes, the State Statistics Service has said.

According to its data, retail sales of diesel fuel in December 2013 increased by 12.9% compared to December 2012, to 176,200 tonnes. Sales of liquefied gas in December increased by 21.9%, to 38,100 tonnes, while sales of compressed gas decreased by 7.4%, to 11,100 tonnes.

The share of A-95 petrol in total petrol sales amounted to 54%. For A-92 it was 45.1%, A-80 - 0.5%, and A-98 - 0.4%.

In December 2013, some UAH 3.594 billion (58.7%) of the sales were of petrol, UAH 1.994 billion (32.6%) - diesel fuel, UAH 423 million (6.9%) - liquefied gas, and UAH 111.7 million (1.8%) - compressed gas.

As of January 1, 2014, petrol stocks at filling stations came to 145,200 tonnes, that for diesel fuel – 82,800 tonnes, liquefied gas – 8,900 tonnes and compressed gas – 100 tonnes.

In December 2013, a total of 7,833 filling stations worked in Ukraine.
