Government reorganizes Aviant plant through merger with Antonov Design Bureau

The government of Ukraine has decided to reorganize Kyiv-based Aviant plant through its merger with the Antonov Design Bureau (Kyiv), the Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

The ministry, under a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, has prepared a corresponding draft order.

According to the document, Aviant is to be reorganized in order to restart mass production of aircraft at the plant, regain the position of the enterprise on the world aircraft manufacturing market, improve the efficiency of the use of state property and increase revenues to the national budget.

Antonov Design Bureau and Aviant are currently part of the Antonov state concern.
