HACC confirms decision to recover Ukrainian assets of Russian group Polyplastic to state
On November 22, the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) upheld the decision of the first instance of September 20, 2024 to recover to the state the assets of Miron Gorilovsky, Valentin Buyanovsky and Andrey Menshov, founders, controllers and top managers of the Russian group of companies Polyplastic who fell under Ukrainian sanctions, the Ministry of Justice reported on its website.
It is specified that the matter concerns about 93% of shares in Trading House Eurotrubplast, Kalush Pipe Plant, Rubizhne Pipe Plant, a 100% stake in Polimerteplo-Ukraine, a 10% stake in Ukrainian Polymer Group and 51% in Kordflex.
"Gorilovsky and his business partners Buyanovsky and Menshov, with the help of the controlled companies of Polyplastic Group, carried out actions aimed at supporting the aggressive policy of the aggressor country," the Ministry of Justice noted in a press release.
It is noted that the decision has entered into legal force and is not subject to appeal.
Polyplastic Group is a large industrial conglomerate specializing in the production of high-tech polymer pipes and composite polymer materials, having in its structure a research base for conducting research and development in the field of composite polymers with a wide range of applications, from the production of polymer pipes to the production of components for small arms.
As the Ministry of Justice points out, after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the enterprises of Polyplastic Group have been actively involved in import substitution of products that became unavailable due to the introduction of EU sanctions against Russia. In addition, the group supplied products for the construction of water drainage infrastructure facilities in occupied Crimea and polymers to enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. Specialists from the group's subsidiary, NPP Polyplastic LLC, participated in the development of a polymer material for use in the manufacture of small arms.
