Germany to transfer two air defense systems to Ukraine this year

Germany plans to transfer two air defense systems to Ukraine in 2024, as well as a batch of other military aid, said Christian Freiding, head of the Special Headquarters for Ukraine at the German Defense Ministry.
"We are operating at a high level and we will maintain this high level. In the last week alone, we delivered two Iris-T SLM and SLS air defense systems. And this year, we will deliver two more air defense systems, a mid-double-digit number of infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks, and a five- to six-digit number of artillery ammunition. This is really significant," Freiding told RND.
He stressed that the German government remains united in its support for Ukraine, despite the results of the country's elections.
