Information and technological support for the School of Press Secretary is being provided by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, whose long experience and knowledge of the situation helped attract the best practitioners and experts to the teaching staff.

The director general of the Interfax-Ukraine news agency and the spokesman for the Ukrainian president in 1998-2002, Oleksandr Martynenko, believes that it is necessary for the press secretaries of various levels to exchange practical experience.

"The press secretary is a unique figure in terms of his importance in the structure of social communication. He is a link between a socially meaningful unit - a politician, businessman, company or project - and his audience, the community or a part of it. In order to ensure such communication, the press secretary must know and do a lot of things. We had to learn all this, as they say, "from scratch," and we want to share this knowledge," Martynenko said.

Venue: the first lesson at the School of Press Secretary will begin on January 27, 2012 at 1000 at 8/5a Reitarska Street (3rd floor, the conference room of the Interfax-Ukraine news agency).

An application for participation in the lesson may be submitted by phone +38 (050) 385 8088 or on the Web site www.prschool.com.ua.
