Final countdown: Ten days left before start of XI International Economic Forum 'Economic Integration - National Priorities'
The forum is traditionally held in Truskavets on October 14–15, 2011 at the Rixos-Prykarpattya Hotel.
"During the forum, potential investors and interested companies will be able to gather information about expected directions of development in Ukraine and Lviv region in coming years, taking into account preparations for the Olympic Hope 2022 project and the implementation of other national projects and priorities," Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk said.
The forum will have four sections, in which 55 speakers will participate, including 34 Ukrainian and 21 foreign speakers.
The main topics of the presentations will concern national priorities of economic policy, economic growth, investment and infrastructure development, modern models of cross-border cooperation, strategic planning, and regional development. Apart from traditional investment and economic trends, government officials will also raise the topics of Euro 2012 and Olympic Hope 2022 Project.
The XI Economic Forum promises to be the largest in its history. The largest businesses of Ukraine, representatives of the leadership of many states, and Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov have already confirmed they will attend.
In 2010, the forum was attended by nearly 600 participants from 18 countries, and around a dozen major contracts were signed.
"This year we want to expand the circle of participants to 600-700 people, and invite more foreign guests and partners. Attendees from Europe, China and Russia are expected," Tsymbaliuk said.
