In Sevastopol took place the First International Investment Forum ISIF-2011

On September 16-17, 2011 in Sevastopol was hold the First International Investment Forum, where were presented region opportunities, showed the largest investment projects. The Forum gathered more than 400 participants, among which: 21 representatives of bank institutions, 15 representatives of international companies and 123 representatives from 73 domestic. Crimean region was represented by 45 enterprises. Also the Forum was attended by 13 international organizations, 15 diplomatic missions, 23 regional state administrations and the central authorities of Ukraine, including the parliament. The Forum has been accredited by 70 members of the media. During two days Forum participants discussed the strategy of region development and prospects of doing business in Sevastopol. Vladimir Yatsuba, Chairman of the Sevastopol City State Administration, called business for cooperation and promised maximum assistance to investors. “Many investors have responded. I’m pleased that the first fiddle on this Forum was played by our businessmen, business people who care about Sevastopol "- said Mr. Yatsuba. The Forum agenda was presented with subject panels: energy; transport, port, logistics; sources of projects funding and peculiarities of work with investor; activities of the EU SSRD Project in Ukraine; commercial and Industrial Real Estate; tourism and entertainment industry; The Forum was accompanied by the exhibition, which presented about 40 investment projects, among which the most ambitious was is “Balaklava Green” project. As it was informed by the Deputy Head of investment management and FEA of Sevastopol City State Administration Alexey Popov, were conducted two meetings with potential investors. “Representatives of Dutch company Wintermolen V.O.F. would like to construct the wind power generation facility here in Sevastopol. They count on 30 megawatts. That is significant amount for Sevastopol, as our city consumes about 210 megawatts” – noted Mr. Popov. Also was arranged a meeting representatives of Korean company KCBMC of Eastern Europe, Kor-Tur Green Tech, which is engaged in agriculture and seafood: “They have quite a large project on the cultivation of brine. They are ready to collect, cultivate and export”, - said Mr. Popov.
