Veres launches unique sauces in Ukraine and Russia

In 2011 Ukrainian FMCG Company Veres is making a strategic marketing decision and updating its line of sauces.As a result,mayonnaise and ketchup will not be produced anymore. Instead, the company has created more than 10 unique sauces with new designs and recipes. The most innovative of them are three grill-flavor sauces in Ukraine and Russia - "Mushroom," "Shashlik" and "Pepper." Grilled vegetables together with the new grill sauces take the place of the company's traditional tomato paste. The company's new tomato sauces "3 Mushrooms," "5 Vegetables" and "7 Herbs" help consumers save time on cooking. Back in 1995, Veres was the first Ukrainian brand to produce Georgian Satzebeli sauce. In order to develop new sauces, Veres Company has invested more than 30% of its total marketing budget in 2011 on design, packaging, recipes and adverting. Veres was even the general sponsor of Hell's Kitchen in Ukraine. In two years Veres aims to win 20% of the sauce market in Ukraine. Veres has the capacity to make more than 50,000 tonnes of products per year, and the company works all year round. However, the vegetable canning process, the main business, is largely seasonal. "Various market studies show that Veres occupies the third top position in sauce segment. Our innovative and unique products give us a chance to set up a new sauce tradition - to be the expert, and to be the best," says the head of Veres' marketing department, Olena Profir.
