Ukraine is fast becoming one of the most important European markets for retail development and investments, education services, financial services and agribusiness.
With respect to building and construction, it is worth noting that Irish companies have earned a reputation as reliable partners in many countries worldwide, including the UK, Europe, the US, the Middle East, South-East Asia, Australia and. Currently, Irish companies are undertaking a lead role in construction projects for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Ireland’s experience in carrying out complex infrastructural projects under tight budget- and time-restraints may also be of interest to Ukrainian partners and contractors, especially with regard to the European Football Championships in 2012.
Enterprise Ireland plans to strengthen Ireland’s business and cultural ties with the cities and regions of Ukraine. As one of the most economically advanced member-states of the E.U., Ireland has a unique history of development in the technological and service sectors. This visit by a delegation of Irish companies will doubtless form the basis for deepening cooperation between these two countries.
