On December 18, the Head of the conceptual architecture at Urban Experts Valentyn Uvarov took part in the plenary session of the III Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems and development prospects of the Odessa construction complex”

During the conference, the participants discussed building regulations for the City, the problems of suburban areas, an integrated approach to the renovation of historical quarters in the city center, as well as scientific and technical support, monitoring of new construction, reconstruction, restoration and maintenance of urban development facilities.

For his part, Valentyn Uvarov spoke about the implementation of international experience in projects for the reconstruction of micro districts of typical industrial buildings of the Soviet period.

He noted that the best international experience lies in the integrated approach of master planning, so it is advisable to make dense buildings of different formats with different functions, not "sleeping areas", but city blocks, cells of life. Residential architecture and the master plan of the living environment should be provided for various scenarios of life as well the diversification of territories should be used, namely, the division into private, semi-private and public spaces. Valentyn also noted that the commercial component (shopping or community center) should be part of the complex.

During the presentation Valentyn Uvarov also spoke about the need to develop the suburban zone of many large cities of Ukraine:
