Turkish Company DAY JV is planning to complete construction of Terminal D at SIA “Boryspil” in accordance with schedule of UEFA EURO 2012

Joint Venture DAY consisting of Doğuş İnşaat ve Tic. A.Ş – Alsim Alarko Sanayi ve Tesisleri ve Ticaret A.Ş – YDA İnşaat ve Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. (Turkey) is planning to complete construction of Terminal D at State International Airport “Boryspil” (Kyiv) in accordance with schedule of UEFA EURO 2012. "Apron works has finalized by half and to be finalized in full in 2011 spring and summer ", is stated in press release of JV. According to statement of representative, as of today, core part of terminal building is finalized, installation of roof and façade steel structures is continuing, viaduct construction has started, terminal building equipments (baggage handling etc) is under production. New road is operational now. Workforce as of today is 1.500 where 60% is Ukrainian nationals. Terminal building will have latest technology as regards equipment and flight safety. Testing and commissioning will be conducted in accordance with schedule of UEFA EURO 2012. The project comprises construction of 100.000 m2 terminal building, 200.000m2 apron, 11 passenger boarding bridges, 1.400m viaduct and 4.000m road. In September 2008 Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise and Joint Venture DAY JV signed the contract for the construction of Terminal “D” at SIA “Boryspil”. SIA “Boryspil” occupies an area of 1000 ha consisting of 2 runways: one with total length – 4000 m and width – 60m, and second one – length 3500 m and width 63 m. Three terminal buildings and one cargo terminal are currently situated on the territory of airport.
