PRESS-RELEASE: CFC Consulting Company runs poll on Ukraine's image
Kyiv, December 13, 2010. As part of a campaign to establish the Ukraine brand, the CFC Consulting Company is running a survey to determine how Ukraine's image is perceived by both the country's citizens and citizens of other countries. The survey is being carried out at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. All those who wish to can take part in the project by filling out the questionnaire on-line at http://www.brandukrainepoll.com.
CFC Consulting Company Managing Partner Ghennadiy Kurochka says: "Our survey is not a sociological survey. Its main purpose is to reflect the opinion of the most active element of the Ukrainian and foreign community, who have a real interest in the idea of establishing a single, all-encompassing Ukraine brand."
The goal of the survey is to reveal both positive and negative feelings associated with Ukraine and Ukrainians, the most typical visual images, items and significant symbols, promising areas of tourism, and so on. For the maximum convenience of respondents, the survey has been prepared in seven languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.
The data from the survey will be used in preparing a branding strategy for Ukraine. This is important primarily because of Ukraine’s intentions of integrating into the EU and the holding of the Euro-2012 football championship games.
"The ministry is counting on this opinion poll to provide the basis for a branding strategy for Ukraine," says Oleh Voloshyn, Director of Information Policy Department at the MFA.
