Kyva congratulates his native Poltava school on Teacher's Day

Head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Illia Kyva took part in solemn events in Poltava dedicated to the Teacher's Day at gymnasium No. 6, where he and his family studied, and congratulated the teaching staff on their professional holiday, the press service of the SPU has reported on its official website.

"Teacher is one of the most important professions. It is you who bring up the most precious thing we have - our children and, accordingly, our future. In these walls I was taught to be honest, decent, and to love my country. I am very pleased to be here today and congratulate you on this Day," the leader of the Socialist Party said.

He also appealed to students and encouraged them to respect teachers and their peers, to be confident and to succeed.

"Do not be afraid of falling, be afraid of not rising! Everything is just starting for you!" Kyva said.

Teacher's Day in Ukraine is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October.
