They come at moderate prices and are also good insulators. There are many styles of wooden windows out there. So how is a wooden window are made?

Stage 1: Procurement of Materials

According to fenestrum.lt/produktai/mediniai-langai-euro-78-euro-100/ - The first stage involves acquiring material such as wood lines, glass panes, veneers, paintings and hinges. Before work can begin, all necessary materials need to be available.

Stage 2: Checking Quality of Materials

This stage is vigorous in processes that are required to produce high-quality products. Wood boards are rejected if they have knots or worm holes. The moisture content of material is constrained at 12 percent. Some manufacturers work with materials that have less than 9 percent moisture content. You can find more details about moisture percentage at this website www.fenestrum.lt/medines-durys/. Chemical composition of the material is also noted down. All types of paint ordered must conform to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) standards.

Stage 3: Making the Window Frame

Making the window frame is the ultimate test of any production system’s organizational ability. The frame is held together by a number of intersections of thin wooden pieces.

Every scribe joint on the frame has to accurately connect to three different points. To connect wood, tenon-joints and mortise are used. The tenon-joint is made in the wood beam for rails while the mortise is cut in the wood beam for stiles. It is not mandatory that the frame consists of a top and bottom rails.

Regardless of the weather, the core board must fit into the door frame. Glue is then used to join the rails and stiles.

Stage 4: Glass Installation

The glass is then installed on the rabbeted openings on the back panel of the window. All glass panes ought to be an eighth inch smaller than the rabbeted openings they fit into.

The glass is put into place with glazing putty and glazing points. Alternatively, the mounting can be done with quarter-round segments of wood mitered on their closures and nailed down.

Stage 5: Sanding and cleaning; done to make the surface as smooth as possible if the lipping exercise is to be carried out on the frame.

Lipping; is the procedure that protects the edge of the face veneer. Edge bandings are installed by an edge banding machine.

Painting and installation of accessories is usually the last stage in the manufacturing process. The windows are tested for quality before being packaged for sale.
