Annual American Independence Day Picnic held in Kyiv

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine celebrated America’s birthday by hosting its 27th annual American Independence Day Picnic on July 7 at the Kyiv International School. More than 3000 guests were treated to traditional American apple and cherry pies, and had the opportunity to take pictures with a giant American birthday cake! Just like their cake or pie, the picnic was enjoyed by people of all ages. There was catchy music, contests, a big entertainment zone for kids, interactive photo zones, and activities. Guests also got to enjoy a lot of tasty American food, refreshing drinks, and a variety of treats. The icing on the cake was an exciting gifts drawing and great performance by headliner Antytila.

The United States of America officially turned 242 years old on July 4th, and the White House held its first 4th of July celebration in 1801. Although the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine hasn’t been celebrating America’s birthday quite as long as the founding fathers have, they still know how to throw a good party.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine is a non-government, non-profit business organization operating in Ukraine since 1992. The Chamber represents over 600 Member Companies and affiliated parties. It cooperates closely with Ukrainian authorities to improve the business environment and attract foreign investments into the economy, and advocates for predictable, transparent, equitable and stable rules of doing business.
