UKRPLASTIC Company participated in the 6th International Conference "Multilayer Packaging Films 2013" that was held in Vienna, Austria. This is a special professional event devoted to different issues related to multilayer plastic packaging.
Manufacturers, processors, suppliers and experts from the flexible packaging industry meet annually to conduct professional discussion of different aspects of development, production, usage and development prospects for the multi-layer packaging materials. During the conference "Multilayer Packaging Films 2013" more than 20 presentations were made on the following aspects: market review, new technologies and production materials, areas of application of flexible multilayer packaging materials. During two days participants of the Conference exchanged ideas, experience, and achievements and participated in the discussions.
Irina Mirochnik, Head of the Management Board of OJSC UKRPLASTIC emphasized that UKRPLASTIC started manufacturing multilayer packaging materials about 17 years ago and continuously improve manufacturing technology. This year UKRPLASTIC specialists put into operation the new production line on co-extrusion laminates manufacturing. The segment of multilayer packaging materials is steadily growing and owing to excellent operational and sanitary-hygienic properties this material started to replace traditional packages. This is a priority direction for our company and today we are sure that UKRPLASTIC is on the leading positions as to the implementation of new technologies and creation of new types of multilayer packaging materials", - I. Mirochnik indicated.
At the Conference special attention was drawn to the environmental aspect of usage, processing and recycling of manufactured multilayer packaging materials. Practical experience shows that about 80% of used flexible multilayer materials are recycled, that is quite important, since the material is strong and resistible to aggressive environment.
