Ukraine’s Future Foundation announces first grant competition called “Ukraine’s Intellectual Capital”
On October 4, 2013, the Ukraine’s Future Foundation launches its first grant competition called “Ukraine’s Intellectual Capital” in Kyiv. The announcement will be made during the Second International Expert Session on “How to make intellect a development resource in Ukraine.”
Our key presenters at the October 4 Expert Session will be:
• Krzysztof Zanussi, renowned director and screenwriter, Poland
• Michael Bleyzer, CEO, SigmaBleyzer, US-Ukraine
• Natalia Shulha, Executive Director, Ukrainian Science Club, Ukraine
• Hank Kune, Founder & Director, Educore BV, The Netherlands
• Ulvia Mikayilova, Executive Director, Center for Innovation in Education, Azerbaijan
• Aleksandr Rappaport, Senior Research Specialist, Department of Architectural Theory, Institute for Theoretical and Historical Architectural and Urban Studies, Latvia
• Sergei Pereslegin, physicist, sociologist, military historian, sci-fi researcher and theorist, publicist, Russia
• Volodymyr Nudelman, Professor, Department of Urban Development, Kyiv National University of Building and Architecture (KNUBA)
• Arnis Ritups, Publisher of Rigas Laikes, an intellectual magazine, Latvia
• Liubomyr Deresh, writer and intellectual, Ukraine
The purpose of the Foundation’s annual competition is to support projects that aim to develop and increase intellectual capital in Ukraine and to integrate the country into world intellectual processes.
During the Second International Expert Session, we will also present the members of the Competition jury and the Foundation’s Supervisory Board. On October 5, there will be an open discussion with the Competition Executive about the conditions for eligibility and the application procedure.
In the words of the Foundation’s acting director, Yuriy Chudnovskiy, “Job #1 for the Foundation is to find nascent intellect, support it and enable it to grow, get strong, and become independent.”

The International Expert Session takes place on October 4, 2013, at the National Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation, in the Conference Hall on the 5th floor of Ukraine House, vul. Khreshchatyk 2, Kyiv.
