Donetsk City Hall reports injury of seven civilians

Seven civilians sustained fragmentation wounds in Donetsk in the early morning hours on Tuesday, the City Hall Web site reports.

"Tensions remained high in Donetsk as of this noon. Residents reported hearing far away explosions but it was impossible to locate them. The Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry department in the Donetsk region said seven civilians were hurt in Donetsk early in the August 12 morning; they suffered fragmentation and gunfire wounds. All the victims were taken to a hospital," says the report released on Tuesday.

The shutdown of two transformer substations suspended traffic along the 17th trolley route and the 8th and 16th street car routes. Electricians are repairing the damage.

The City Council reported that Donetskmiskgaz repairmen continued to restore gas mains during short breaks between the hostilities.

The damage done to gas mains by the artillery bombardments early in the August 12 morning has been confined. Gas supply is being restored to 138 private homes in the village of Shyroky in the Leninsky district. The restoration of gas supply to six homes in the Kuibyshevsky district is also underway.

As of August 12, 1,533 people in private homes and apartment buildings are cut off from gas supply. It is planned to restore gas supply to over 1,000 people tonight in the case they are at home.
