The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested nearly 100 saboteurs, including Russian citizens, the service's head, Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, has said.

"We have already arrested more than 90 terrorists and saboteurs, among them 13 citizens of Russia (not counting mercenaries, they are professional intelligence agents). One of the latest detentions in Kyiv was that of an accomplice of a leader of sabotage groups in Horlivka and Sloviansk," Nalyvaichenko said in an interview with the Den daily published on Friday.

The Ukrainian Security Service continues to respond to the "funding of terrorism in Ukraine by former Ukrainian high-ranking officials," he said.

Ukraine's Security Service has suspended all contacts with the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, he said.

"All contacts with the aggressor have already been stopped. Furthermore, all bilateral treaties and agreements have been terminated," Nalyvaichenko said.
