Koktebel Jazz Festival's 2014 venue is Odesa

The Koktebel Jazz Festival international music festival has moved from Crimea to Odesa region, the village of Zatoka and Akkerman Fortress in the town of Bilhorod Dnistrovsky this year, founder and president of the festival Liliya Mlynarych has said.

It will be held from September 11 to September 14, she said.

"This year the festival will change in accordance with new tasks and challenges. The atmosphere that the Koktebel Jazz Festival is famous for will be new, but still interesting and unforgettable," she said during a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

According to Mlynarych, daily performances during the festival will be held on the stage near the village of Zatoka, 47 kilometers from Odesa. The local curiosity here is beach over 100 kilometers long. The evening concerts will be held in the inner yard of the Akkerman Fortress, which is 15 kilometers away from Zatoka.

In addition to young Ukrainian performers, three popular bands from Britain and the United States will partake in the festival.

"We hope this will be a new phase in the festival's development," Mlynarych said.
