Respublika Park trade center investing millions in alternative power supply systems for uninterrupted operation

Respublika Park, the largest shopping and entertainment center in Ukraine, continues large-scale investments in alternative power supply systems for uninterrupted operation during outages, CEO of the shopping and entertainment center Yulia Schaslyva told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

“Last year, more than $1 million was spent on the purchase of powerful generators. Every month we allocate hundreds of thousands of hryvnias for equipment maintenance and fuel. These expenses are our investment in the stable operation of the shopping center and the comfort of guests,” she noted, adding that thanks to these measures the operation of all shops, food courts and entertainment areas is ensured even during power outages. Fuel reserves have been created and an emergency action plan has been developed.

In addition, the company is analyzing options for additional power equipment.

“We are calculating now. We are counting both solar and gas piston power plants,” she clarified.

In addition to providing an energy alternative to power supply systems for uninterrupted operation, the shopping center is investing in the development of infrastructure for electric vehicles. In collaboration with the global brand Wallbox and 1UP, 29 charging stations have been installed.

“We understand that the number of people using electric cars is constantly growing, despite problems with energy supply in the country. Therefore, we are working to provide convenient services for our guests - electric car owners,” the CEO noted.

She emphasized that the Respublika Park shopping center would continue to invest in alternative power supply systems and infrastructure development.

“Our goal is to remain a reliable and comfortable place for shopping and recreation for Kyiv residents under any circumstances. We believe in the victory of Ukraine and are preparing to actively participate in economic recovery after the war,” she concluded.

The Respublika Park shopping center is one of the largest shopping centers in Kyiv, with a total area of 300,000 square meters, rental – 135,000 sq. m. Indoor parking is designed for 3,500 cars. The owner of the shopping center is the Austrian company Trafin Consulting und Entwicklungs GmbH, which was founded in Vienna in 2013 and works in the real estate sector.
