State-run enterprise Antonov withdrew one of the An-148 aircraft of AeroSvit airline in late August.

AeroSvit Director General Assistant for public relations, Serhiy Kutsy, told Interfax-Ukraine that on August 22, 2011, the aircraft was withdrawn by Antonov for additional servicing and after several days the manufacturer informed the carrier that the aircraft would not be used to service AeroSvit's flights.

A well-informed source told Interfax-Ukraine that the plane was transferred to Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), although the carrier has not commented on this report.

Kutsy said that the second plane that used by AeroSvit was returned after servicing on September 2, and that it continues flying on the company's routes.
