Fozzy Group expands Fora store chain to 128

Fozzy Group (Kyiv) has opened the renewed Fora store at 27, Verkhovnoi Rady avenue in Kyiv, which became the 128th store in the chain, according to a press release of the group.

The area of the store is 300 square meters, its assortment includes 3,500 product names.

“We are viewing our first store with renewed design as a pioneer in the sphere of innovation design of “stores near home”. We are planning to open one more similar store by the end of the year, and then, if we succeed, we will start the reconstruction of the whole chain,” the press release reads citing Fora Marketing Director Maksym Kolesnikov.

Investment into developing a creative plan exceeded EUR70,000.

“The total number of Fora stores will grow to 135 by the end of the year. So, Fozzy Group confirms the realization of its plans on expanding the Fora chain, announced for 2008,” according to the press release .

Fozzy Group has been working in Ukraine since 1997. It runs the Silpo supermarket chain (149 outlets), the Fora discount store chain (128), the Bud Zdorov (22) drug store chain, and the chain of the Fozzy C&C hypermarkets.

The corporation also runs production facilities – the Nizhyn fruit and vegetable canning plant (Nizhyn brand), the Kyiv-based Friedrich Engels confectionery factory, the Malyn meat-packing plant, and the Varto Ltd. poultry farm. It also operates the restaurants Lame Paul's (U Khromoho Pola) and Prad-A-Cafe in Kyiv.
