Nemiroff starts licensing vodka production in Belarus
Ukraine's Nemiroff, one of the leading vodka producers in the CIS, plans to announce the start of licensing of vodka production in Belarus next week, according to sources on the Russian and Belarusian markets.
Vodka bottling is organized at Minsk Kristall distillery.
The company did not comment the information.
Belgospischeprom concern chairman, Ivan Danchenko at the end of last year said that Minsk Kristall could become a Nemiroff's partner in the licensed or contract production of vodka.
Oleksadnr Hlus, Nemiroff Holding board chairman, first mentioned the plans to start vodka bottling in Belarus a year ago. Thanks to the licensed production Nemiroff plans to occupy 10-15% of the Belarusian vodka market in the near future. Currently the company only imports vodka to Belarus.
