– The National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market intends to tighten requirements for information disclosure by securities issuers, head of the regulator Timur Khromaev has stated.

"We will introduce more strict requirements on disclosure of information by issuers. Most of our issuers are unlikely to be able to execute them. But we are fighting for the liquidity of issuers who really need this. Companies that are ready to be truly transparent should have a better chance to obtain capital in the market, this requires a better system of information disclosure," he said at a committee meeting on the strategy of development and economic analysis of the stock market.

According to Khromaev, currently the agency is finalizing the relevant bill, it will be presented to the public for discussion in autumn.

"In autumn you'll see a great work we've carried out on this issue," he added.

As reported, the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market intends to introduce a system of mandatory information disclosure for all public joint-stock companies.
