Russian watchdog ready to discuss Ukrainian confectioner's return - Onishchenko
Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor is ready to begin a dialog with Kyiv concerning the deliveries of confectionary products to Russia, so long as the talks take place in a cordial atmosphere, Gennady Onishchenko, the former head of the agency and current aide to the Russian prime minister, said on Wednesday.
"The pronouncements from Ukraine's Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry that border on incivility concerning the check into Roshen enterprises once more make the case that no one wants to resolve this problem. All the observations that have been made, including on the Rospotrebnadzor Web site (following the check) might be discussed given a visit by Ukrainian experts to Russia, and with a strict delineation of the parameters of a possible visit by Russian experts to Ukraine and provision of the necessary documentation," Onishchenko said.
Russia is ready to discuss these problems so long as they "remain within the bounds of professionalism and are not subjected to gross insults or suspicions," he said.
