The leadership of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has held a meeting with Sven-Goran Eriksson, a candidate for the position of the chief coach of Ukraine's national football team.

"He is a good candidate, a good coach. We listened to his requirements and took them in consideration. Anyway, the executive committee will decide on the issue," FFU President Anatoliy Konkov said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

He stressed that the selection of the team's chief coach is important to the federation and the future of Ukrainian football.

Eriksson came to the meeting with his agent.

The FFU's press service said that the Swedish expert wants to work with Ukraine's team.

The FFU's executive committee has not announced the date of its meeting on the issue. It is expected that the meeting will be held in the near future.
