The winners of the Real Innovation Award 2018 were announced November 1 in the UK. Among them was the Ukrainian company WOG, who beat such transnational giants as Enel, Bauer, Nintendo, Benivo.

London Business School, the top school in Europe, is the initiator of the Real Innovation Award. The winners of the award are determined in six categories based on two independent polls: People’s Choice, which is an open poll on the website of LBS and The Judge’s Choice, which is an expert vote.

Noteworthy, WOG came second based on the results of the people’s vote in The Masters of Reinvention category, while the judges gave the Ukrainian company the victory.

“We are very proud that the international business community has distinguished the achievements of WOG,” commented Mykhailo Romaniv, Acting General Director at WOG. “Victory in the Masters of Reinvention Award nomination is recognition of successful implementation of innovations in business. It is truly incredible, as WOG is the first company from Ukraine not only to make it to the short list, but also to win. This high praise gives us energy and enthusiasm to work even more, to be the leader and promote European service in the market.”

The company works to improve its services and offer every customer positive experience with the brand every day. With this objective, the gas station chain actively introduces innovative solutions: loyalty program, mobile app, refueling and payment for fuel with WOG PAY, which enables customers receive the required services at a gas station without exiting the car, etc.

In 2013, WOG changes its business concept and market strategy, focusing efforts on retail. The company decided then to go beyond the limits of a gas station, selling goods and services in the non-fuel segment. Thanks to such out-of-the-box decision, WOG CAFEs are now successfully operating in the central parts of Kyiv and Lviv, at Kyiv (Zhulyany) Airport and also on high-speed Intercity trains. WOG CAFE is soon planning to open two new spots – at Boryspil and Lviv international airports. And, as the company says, it is only the beginning.

WOG RETAIL LLC manages WOG gas filling stations, a chain of nearly 500 stations in all regions of Ukraine. WOG gas station chain is the largest Ukrainian mono-brand chain in the domestic oil product market. All oil products in the WOG chain are exclusively imported and meet Euro-5 standard. Supplies are made from the most advanced oil refineries in Romania, Israel, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus and other countries. The company is also actively developing related services, in particular WOG CAFE and WOG MARKET.
