Kyiv, March 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A project, entitled "Let's Create the 'Alphabet of My Country' Together!" is underway in Ukraine in order to form a positive image of the country, both at home and abroad, the creator of the project and director of the Inform-Ukraine publishing house, Oleksandr Pomytkin, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

He said that the project envisages the organization of meetings with Ukrainian students, labor unions in the country's regions, and the preparation of a special issue in newspapers on the subject of the country, with an emphasis place on the subject of Ukraine's image.

In addition, the authors of the project spoke about the publication of an edition "The Alphabet of My Country," which was not supported by government officials.

Pomytkin said that a year ago, a competition was held in Ukraine among works by children about their country and that winners were chosen, but "the state has not seen the expediency of implementing this."

In this regard, the project's creators intend to involve the public in Ukraine in its implementation, and anyone who wants to will be able to assist in the publication of the alphabet.

"We decided to finish this project with the help of the Ukrainian people. I am confident that we, along with Ukrainian citizens, will make this presentation," Pomytkin said.

He said that this was the first edition, which includes stories by Ukrainian children about their country, the people who live in it, the traditions of Ukrainians and many other things. Its presentation is planned in some countries in Europe.

The organizer of international art projects, Serhiy Kovtun, added that many people see Ukraine in a negative light and, therefore, the authors plan to show its positive sides, without resorting to politics and focusing on the sincerity and friendliness of Ukrainian people, the sights of the country, and its rich traditions.
