SunElectra intends to build solar power plants with 25-30 megawatt capacity in Odesa region in 2012
Kyiv, December 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Israel's SunElectra is planning to build ten solar power plants with the capacity of 25-30 megawatts in Odesa region in 2012, the founder of the company, Peter Rozenkrants, said at a press conference on renewable energy at Interfax-Ukraine on December 23, 2011.
"We're planning to realize ten project with the capacity of 1.5-4 megawatts each in Odesa region. This form is convenient, as any substation without a serious reconstruction could accept electricity generated by the solar power plants," he said.
The solar power plants' launch is scheduled for H2, 2012.
In addition, SunElectra wants to supply solar modules with the total capacity of some 15 megawatts to its Ukrainian partners in 2012.
As reported, according to the estimates of SunElectra, solar power facilities with 700-800 megawatts will be built in the country in 2012-2013.
SunElectra entered the Ukrainian market in 2011. The company sells photovoltaic (PV) products and builds key-ready solar power plants.
