SIPNET opens representative office in Ukraine

Kyiv, November 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) - SIPNET eu, an operator of IT telephony, has opened a representative office in Ukraine, Director of Sipnet Ukraine Andriy Lazarev said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

Lazarev said that SIPNET eu is registered in the Czech Republic, although its key operations are carried out in Russia and its key subscribers are Russian-speaking people.

The Kyiv-based Sipnet Ukraine will do commercial business in Ukraine.

The company has signed agreements with key payment systems operating in Ukraine for convenient payments by Ukrainian subscribers for the company's services.

Projects Manager at the company, Kostiantyn Terentiev, said that in opening a representative office in Ukraine, SIPNET, is focusing on the corporate market. He added that on the Russian market the average revenue per user (ARPU) in the corporate segment in 2010 came to $60.

The company said that the SIPNET's subscriber base in 2010 totaled 33.4 million, including 63,000 registered in Ukraine.
