Around half of Ukrainians not planning to participate in mass protests, FOM-Ukraine study shows

Kyiv, February 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A total of 43.6% of Ukrainian citizens are not planning to participate in mass protests, according to a survey conducted by FOM-Ukraine Ltd. on February 1-11.

The company's director general, Oleksandr Bukhalov, presented the results of the study at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Monday. A total of 2,000 respondents aged over 18 from 160 populated localities participated in the interview. The poll's margin of error is 2.2%.

According to the survey, some 29.2% are ready to participate in rallies, 16.7% are ready to collect signatures to make demands and file petitions, 15.6% are ready to participate in strikes, 7.6% in the blockage of roads and the seizure of administrative buildings, and only 4.7% are ready to participate in possibly violent action. Some 11.2% of pollees were undecided.
