Political expert Zhdanov not linking finance minister's dismissal to split in BYT
Kyiv, February 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – There are no grounds to talk about a split in the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko (BYT) in connection with the resignation of leader of the Reform and Order Party (ROP), Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk, Director of the Open Policy Analytical Center Ihor Zhdanov has said.
"There are no grounds for a split of the ROP and its pullout from the BYT or the coalition," he said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Friday.
He said that a final decision on the settlement of the current situation would be taken depending on to what extent the requirements of the Reform and Order Party are satisfied.
The Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko includes the Batkivschyna Party, Reform and Order, and the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party (USDP).
