Spain's Socoin wins tender to develop feasibility study for LNG terminal

Kyiv, September 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Socoin (Spain) has won a tender to develop a feasibility study for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, Chairman of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects Management Vladyslav Kaskiv said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

"The signing of a protocol today completed the procedure of bidding. We announce that the winner of the tender was Socoin Ingenieria y Construccion Industrial," he said.

According to Kaskiv, Socoin is ready to develop a feasibility study for EUR 285,000 in 112 days. At the same time, other bidders proposed the development of the document for EUR 400,000 to EUR 1.295 million in almost the same term.

A contract with Socoin is to be signed in two weeks.

"We will get a strategic partner in spring, who will be the investor and the major participant in the project," said Kaskiv.
