Kyiv, June 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Opposition Democratic Movement - United Georgia leader Nino Burjanadze says that she and her associates are in danger.

"There is a real threat; we are under terrible pressure," she said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency in Kyiv on Monday.

In the words of Burjanadze, the criminal charges brought against her husband "do not stand criticism."

For instance, a man who was not acquainted with her husband, Batraz Bitsadze, said he allegedly learned details of the planned coup attempt from Bitsadze.

"Can you believe that a general, a man who was a first deputy prosecutor general for a long time and whose career developed from an ordinary detective to a deputy prosecutor general and a deputy interior minister, is so naive to tell a stranger about a coup attempt?" she wondered.

"Naturally, there is a threat," Burjanadze concluded.
