Europe-Ukraine International Forum to be held in Kyiv

Kyiv, February 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The fifth Europe-Ukraine International Forum will take place at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv on February 23-25, board member of the United World International Fund Oleksiy Plotnikov has announced.

At a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday, he said that the United World International Fund chaired by Eduard Prutnik and the Polish Institute of East European Studies had organized the forum.

According to Plotnikov, this year the forum will be entitled "Twenty Years of Ukraine's Independence. Successes, Problems, and Prospects." During the event, the issue of the European integration of Ukraine will be tackled.

In turn, Director of the United World International Fund Oleksandr Iliashenko said that about 500 government, parliament, local government representatives, businessmen, members of non-governmental and international organizations, scientific centers and the media of Ukraine, Russia, the European Union and the CIS had registered to attend the forum.

ccording to Iliashenko, the agenda of the forum includes a presentation of a report titled "Report on the Political and Economic Development of Ukraine over the Years of its Independence," a plenary session, ten discussions, two panel discussions on energy and safety issues in Europe, and a seminar entitled "The Development of Democracy and Civil Society."
