Kyiv, February 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The leadership of the structural subdivision of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the state-run military ration producer Bila Tserkva Viysktorh Enterprise (Kyiv region), suspects the ministry of trying to bring the enterprise to bankruptcy.

The ministry owes the enterprise over UAH 40 million, and there are wage arrears, Acting Director of Bila Tserkva Viysktorh Serhiy Hermanchuk said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Tuesday.

According to him, the Defense Ministry has not paid the enterprise for four months, and "instead of money, it sends inspectors."

At the same time the head of the enterprise noted that these problems didn't affect the process of the provision of servicemen with food.

"We are coping with this by using foodstuffs of our own production," he said.

Hermanchuk said that the situation with the non-payment of money was being used to bring the state enterprise to the point of bankruptcy.

Bila Tserkva Viysktorh has operated on the market of providing army with food since 2008. It renders services to over 10,000 servicemen almost in 70 military units. The enterprise also organizes food catering at schools in Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions.
