Kyiv, December 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The organization of information exchange between the consumers of consulting services and companies providing them, the quality of these services and the results of cooperation will help increase the transparency of the market, according to Anna Zaitseva, the coordinator of the Union of Consumers of Consulting Services, an initiative established by a number of companies.

"Since the market of consulting services is relatively new, but is actively growing, many consulting firms and individual private consultants are behaving quite improperly, not adhering to their contractual obligations, and sometimes acting on the verge of fraud," she said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

Zaitseva said that the Union of Consumers of Consulting Services had been formed due to "frequent violations of business ethics by consulting companies."

She said that sometimes it was quite difficult to use objective parameters to assess the quality of the activities of consulting companies.

"We are calling on Ukrainian companies to support the initiative, because the exchange of information will help all participants of the market, make it more transparent and of high quality, and allow the client companies to take decisions more effectively," Zaitseva said.

The "black" and "white" lists of consultants were posted on the Web site of the Union of Consumers of Consulting Services as part of the exchange of information. The information placed in the lists is obtained from business customers and is documented.
