Koktebel Jazz Festival 2010 to take place in Crimea on September 9-12

Kyiv, August 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Koktebel Jazz Festival 2010 will take place in Koktebel on September 9-12, chairman of the organizing committee of the 8th festival Lilia Mlynarych said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

Two stages will operate at the festival: the Voloshynska stage in the garden of the house museum of poet Maksymilian Voloshyn, and the Nujazz stage, The first stage will be opened on September 9, and the second one on September 10.

According to Mlynarych, night, evening, and night concerts will be held on these stages. A closing concert will begin on September 12 at 1300.

Karl Frierson, singer from German band DePhazz and a participant of the festival, said he was happy to come to Ukraine for several years running at the invitation of the organizers to participate in the festival.

He noted he was glad "to make people who come to the festival happy."

"I like the festival very much, as well as the place where it is held… I always talk about myself: [as] the black man at the Black Sea," Frierson said.
