Fourth Europe-Ukraine international forum opens in Kyiv

Kyiv, April 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The fourth Europe-Ukraine international forum will take place at Kyiv's Ukrainian House from April 26-28, Head of the United World International Fund Eduard Prutnik said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency in Kyiv on Monday.

About 400 guests from Ukraine, Russia, as well as EU and CIS member states are to attend the forum.

Participants in the forum will include Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov (April 27), President Viktor Yanukovych (April 28), as well as Chairman of the European Parliament's European Conservatives and Reformists Group Michal Tomasz Kaminski, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Balazs, Moldovan Vice-Premier Victor Osipov, and representatives of Ukraine's Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada.

Prutnik said that issues of relations between Ukraine and the EU, a visa-free regime, and a free trade area would be considered at the forum.

"The debate on the construction of a future common European home will occupy an importance place at the forum. We should focus on the discussion and development of large-scale proposals and strategies that bring Ukraine and Europe closer," he said.

The Europe-Ukraine international forum was first held in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2007, and in Kyiv in 2008 and 2009.
