KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) - PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant intends to apply to court to defend its business reputation, first deputy director of the enterprise Mykola Schurikov has said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

"All charges voiced by Mikheil Saakashvili against the plant are political and economic games aimed at reducing the attractiveness of the enterprise for large foreign investors and understating its real value on the eve of privatization. Provoking baseless scandals, the Odesa governor deters foreign investors, opens the way for the purchase of the plant by Russian companies through false structures," he said.

Schurikov added that thanks to the plant's contract with Antra for gas tolling processing, criticized by Saakashvili, the Ukrainian company managed to secure profitable operations in November.

"The cost of services Antra paid to the plant for natural gas processing into ammonia is $39.8 per tonne, into carbamide $62 per tonne. And this is just the cost of processing. In addition, Antra was charged with the compensation of all related costs and fees in Ukraine (including VAT). For example, the duties of Antra, according to the agreement, included payment for gas transportation through the territory of Ukraine. And this is $36 for every $1,000 cubic meters," the expert said.

He said that under the contract with Antra the plant processed 27.785 million cubic meters of gas.
