Kyiv defense battalion going to eastern region – Bondarenko

Kyiv, June 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Kyiv territorial defense battalion is on its way to the Donbas, head of Kyiv City State Administration Volodymyr Bondarenko has reported.

"Today our battalion is going to the east: after the necessary rotation, guys who have been trained go to war today," he said at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

According to Bondarenko, 430 private soldiers and 32 officers are members of the battalion.

He said that the battalion is completely equipped, trained and combat-ready due to charitable and sponsorship funding.
